What Is BMX Racing?

BMX Racing has been an officially sanctioned sport since 1977, through USA-BMX. BMX Racing is an Olympic sport and has no “seasons” – riders of all ages (boys + girls, men + women) can get started anytime! Ventura BMX offers beginners’ and intermediate clinics. SUMMER HOURS have begun! Please note, due to the better/increased natural light, Ventura BMX has pushed all Operating Hours one hour later in the day, effective 5/7/13! BEST OF ALL, we’re now offering Tuesday Night Racing! Tuesday practice/sign-ups are 5p-6:30p, with racing immediately afterward (racing not required, practice only still OK)! Please note our Thursday and Saturday hours have changed, too. Thursday practice is now 5p-7p. Saturday hours are now 11a-1p, practice/sign-ups, with racing immediately afterward!

Exciting Events are coming to Ventura BMX in March! DON’T MISS: Ventura BMX in The Ventura St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 16. Regular racing will resume after the parade, with sign-ups/practice from 12p-1:30p, racing ASAP. Saturday, March 30 is the annual RACE FOR LIFE, benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Don’t miss this event – which is also the finale to the 805 Race For Life series AND a double-points race. PLUS – we will have a fun-filled Easter Egg hunt and amazing raffle right after racing that day! You do NOT have to be a USA-BMX member to race this wonderful event.
